Why should students have homework?
Homework reinforces skills, concepts and information learned in class. Homework prepares students for upcoming class topics. Homework teaches students to work independently and develop self-discipline. Homework encourages students to take initiative and responsibility for completing a task.
Does homework actually help students?
Practice assignments do improve scores on class tests at all grade levels. A little amount of homework may help elementary school students build study habits. It can help students recognize that learning can occur at home as well as at school.
Why should homework not be banned?
The first reason why homework should not be banned is because,homework aims to help us master certain skills. if there is no practice,then excellence will not be achieved. Homework is important because it helps your child develop positive study habits that will serve him or her well throughout life.
Can too much homework harm your child’s health?
Homework can cause physical problems Our mental health and physical health are linked, so you can’t have one without the other. One study at Stanford found that excessive homework in teens (sometimes over three hours a day!) was linked to physical health problems as well as high levels of stress and disrupted sleep.
